Bio

Joaquim Chitas was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1974.

Although IT is his main activity and profession, photography has always occupied its space.

He learned the basic of photography as self-taught, with books, magazines and websites, also to improve his technical and aesthetic knowledge he participated in some workshops.

Always liked photography, but was since the year 2000, when he bought his first reflex camera, that photography becomes a true passion.

The photographic language is his favorite form of expression to transmit messages and to make his interpretations of the world.

He participate in several photographic projects and events, like, exhibitions, publications, contests and owned some prizes and honours.
